Propolis is said to be one of the oldest natural remedies around; in fact, it was first used over 2000 years ago. Propolis was used for treating ulcers and sores. Propolis is said to be created by bees using the resin collated from leaf buds and bark, combined with enzymes, pollen, and wax. Propolis is known to be a great substance featuring anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties.
This bee product has been reported to be an alternative to supplementing on antibiotics. Propolis is thought to stimulate the immune system by increasing the activity of white blood cells, which may, in turn, help fight any infections. Propolis also contains vast amounts of bioflavonoids which are reported to keep viruses inactive by sealing them off. Propolis contains high amounts of amino acids, calcium, Vitamins B, C, and E. They also contain strong antioxidants.
Pollen is reported to be highly nutritious containing, amino acids, vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Vitamin E. Pollen features minerals which include calcium and magnesium. It also features enzymes, essential fatty acids, carbohydrates, and flavonoids. Pollen is reported to be helpful for improving fertility, reducing cholesterol, strengthening the immune system and raising energy levels.
Honey is a supersaturated sugar solution. It also features thiamin, riboflavin, Vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium, and iron. Honey contains strong antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids and flavonoids and these produce its anti-microbial properties. Honey is believed to contain properties that stop the growth of bacteria and micro-organisms. Honey is reported to fasten up the healing process by acting as a moisturizer, which in turn, makes it good for treating and healing burns. It is advised to be stored in low temperatures and shouldn’t be exposed to any sort of light.
Royal Jelly contains high amounts of proteins, sugars, essential fatty acids, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and the minerals, iron, and calcium. It is reported to be essential for helping to treat hormonal imbalances, insomnia, ulcers, and low sex drive.
