A little care has to be taken while using a turmeric poultice as its stains are quite immovable. So turmeric should not be brought in contact with the clothes.

• One can buy turmeric powder from an Indian grocery store or a supermarket. A teaspoon of this powder should be mixed with warm water. One should drink this solution followed by two glasses of plain water. This solution should be taken thrice daily for a few days for an effective cure.
• A timely action can prevent a lot of trouble. Taking turmeric orally on observing the first sign of a boil can make the boil vanish overnight.
• In order to tackle the problem of recurrent boils turmeric should be used for a longer period of time.
• Some boils are caused due to a weak immune system which makes the body incapable of controlling
the bacterial infections. If turmeric is taken orally with warm milk then it can strengthen the immune system.
The boil can also be smeared with a paste of turmeric and covered with gauze to avoid staining. Since turmeric has diuretic properties so it can cause an increased urine output. Therefore, one should drink plenty of water along with turmeric therapy for boils to avoid dehydration.
